Combine a source with a clear build-up and another with useful texture or weight. Listen for the moment each recording reaches its strongest event.

Align and audition

Use the global peak-alignment control to bring the layers toward a common peak. Audition the result and compare it with natural timing; some designs benefit from a slight sense of separation.

Build-up Only and Tail Only playback give you different material from the same detected variation. Try them as supporting layers around the main whoosh.
